Met this war veteran of 1965 and 1971 at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.
"Aap ki koi aisi khuwaish jo puri na ho saki ho?"
(Any such desire which could not be fulfilled?)
"Mulk k liye shaheed honay ki buhat khuwaish thi."
(Wanted to be a martyr for the country.)
"Kya aj k naojawanon me apko wo jazba nazar ata hai jo 65 aur 71 me tha?"
(Do you see the same spirit in today's youth that was back in 65 and 71?)
"Jazbay k sath sath pehlay say ziada sha'oor bhi nazar ata hai."
(Alongside that spirit there is a lot more awareness in them too.)
